Take the opportunity to participate in something more.

While there is no cure for Type 1 Diabetes, a combination of management of blood sugar levels, diet and lifestyle can help with treatment of diabetes symptoms. However, sometimes that is not enough.

Local doctors are conducting a clinical trial to determine the effectiveness and safety of an investigational drug for patients with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM).

If you or a loved one have T1DM and are looking to explore your management options, consider participating in a clinical trial.

Qualified participants must*:

  • Be diagnosed with T1DM

  • Be between the ages of 18-65 years old

  • Have BMI between 18.5 and 32 kg/m2

  • Have HbA1c 7-10%

  • Be on a stable insulin regimen for at least 8 weeks

  • Have no severe symptomatic hypoglycemic event in past 6 months

  • Have no myocardial infarction, unstable angina, revascularization procedure or cerebrovascular accident in past 12 weeks

  • Not smoke more than 10 cigarettes per day

  • Have no history of illicit drug use or alcohol abuse within the last 6 months

  • Not have participated in an investigational drug or device trial within 30 days

Compensation may be given for time and travel to qualified participants. Study related care and study related drug may be available at no cost.
