When you have Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes, frequent nausea, vomiting and feeling of overly-full can often be signs of diabetic gastroparesis. Diabetic gastroparesis (DG) is a progressive, chronic disorder that may affect people with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes, which may delay the emptying of the stomach. Symptoms of DG can become overwhelming for those who suffer from them.
A clinical research study is currently being conducted to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a study drug to treat diabetic gastroparesis symptoms.
To qualify for this study, participants must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Be diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
Have experienced nausea, vomiting or abominable pain for at least 3 months
As an eligible participant, you will receive study drugs and related tests at no cost to you. You may be eligible for compensation for your time and travel in this study.
Taking part in this study may or may not make your symptoms better. Knowledge gained from this study may help future patients to better manage their symptoms and maintain a better quality of life.
