Do you or another household member have an active scabies infestation?
Scabies is a condition caused by little mites that burrow into your skin and can cause extreme itchiness. These mites can transfer very easily between people and can affect people of all ages and socioeconomic statuses. Rashes and sores can also develop in some Scabies cases.
To try and help, local doctors are conducting a clinical research study to test the effectiveness of an investigational drug for Scabies.
To qualify for their study, participants must:
- be 4 years or older
- have at least one household member with active scabies infestation
- have no history of chronic or recurrent dermatologic disease
- have all household members willing to attend clinic visits and be randomized to investigational treatment
Participants may be compensated for participation, and may receive study-related medication at no cost.
