Type 2 diabetes study

Take control of your diabetes.

There is no cure for diabetes, but it can be managed. Balancing the food you eat with exercise and medicine will help control your weight and can keep your blood glucose in a healthy range.

Local doctors are recruiting participants for a research study to examine the effectiveness of an investigational medication as an add-on therapy to metformin in lowering HbA1c levels in subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

If you have uncontrolled Type 2 Diabetes from metformin treatment alone, you may be eligible to participate in this clinical research study.

Participants must:

  • Be 20 years of age or older

  • Have type 2 diabetes

  • Are currently taking at least 1500 mg of metformin as sole anti-diabetic medication

Qualified participants will receive all study-related care and medication at no cost. Qualified participants will also receive reimbursement for time and travel at each study visit, up to $750.
